Manager visits USA under Fellowship Programme

The Manager of Project, Mr. Dharmendra Jena recenlty visited USA under Professional Fellowship Programme. He competed for this program and got selected. During his visit, he was placed with Oklahoma university. As his project work, he was placed at Deen Mac Gee Eye Institute. He had the opportunity of meeting the Dean, Research fellows, Head of Research Division and other specialists of this great institute.

He was guided by all the experts in respect of quality of services. He also observed various reseach initiatives and new technology and new methods of conducting eye surgeries.

This is the first time that a Manager of an eye hospital had an opportunity of visiting such an high tech eye institute in the USA.

This visit will enable the project to improve quality of services and to adopt new technologies. The first lesson that Dharmendra learnt from this visit was the Project should provide comprehensive services in respect of all types of ophthalmic interventions.

Encouraged from visit, the project going to take the following measures:

1. Improve qualty of retina treatment services

2. Adopt approrpriate protocols for patient care, surgical intervention and flow of material, human resources and patients.

3. Introduce computer software for maintaining patient records, inventory, cash collecting, reporting and grievance rederessal.

4. Netwroking with other such eye hospitals, reserach institues and Health Department etc.

This visit will enhance quality of services at the project
