Dear Donor,

Greetings from Blind Persons’ Association (India)!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous support towards the “Seeing is Believing - Prevention of Blindness” Your contribution has made a meaningful and measurable difference in the lives of hundreds of children and community members.

With your support, BPA Porecha Eye Hospital successfully implemented a series of school eye screening camps and village outreach eye camps in Dahej and Sarigam regions. These initiatives were designed to ensure early detection, timely treatment, and prevention of avoidable blindness among underserved populations.

Key Impact Highlights:

  • 3,152 school children screened across 9 schools
  • 93 students were provided with spectacles, improving their ability to learn and participate actively in classrooms
  • 20 children referred for specialised treatment, preventing long-term visual complications

In addition, our village outreach efforts achieved:

  • 445 community members screened
  • 88 individuals received spectacles, significantly improving daily functioning and productivity
  • 24 cataract cases identified and guided for surgical intervention
  • 4 critical cases referred for advanced care

Transformational Outcomes:

Your support has gone beyond numbers—it has transformed lives:

  • Children who struggled to read the blackboard can now learn with confidence
  • Early detection has prevented avoidable visual impairment and potential blindness
  • Awareness about eye health has increased among families and communities
  • Social stigma around wearing spectacles has reduced, encouraging acceptance and usage

This program has strengthened the bridge between healthcare and education, ensuring that no child’s future is limited due to poor vision.

We sincerely thank you for being a valued partner in this journey of creating an inclusive and healthier society. Your generosity continues to bring light into the lives of those who need it the most.

We look forward to your continued support in expanding our reach and impact.
