Seeing is Believing

Dear Donors and Well Wishers,

We trust this report finds you in Good Health and Spirit.

We are glad to share progress report of our project Seeing is Believing. Seeing is Believing project aims to prevent blindness by providing best quality eye care services to poor and needy people in Gujarat and Rajasthan. During this quarter, we have conducted 18 out reach camps in remote areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan. We have now 13 Vision Centers at different locations in Gujarat.

During this reporting period, Seeing is Beliving Project has following achievements.

1. 6258 people have been provided eye care treatment.

2.3189 people have been provided refraction services and free spectacles,

3. 2632 people have been provided free catract surgeries. 

4. 28 people have been provided free keretoplasty surgeries. 

We wish to share very interesting and impact story of Seeing is Believing Project. 

Smt Daghli  lives with her two sons in Jodhpur district. She is a widow, her financial condition is very poor. Her two sons, and she herself are daily wage earners for survival. For last two years, she has been complaining for poor eye sight. Due to covid 19 pandamic the eye camps were not organized, and also due to her poor financial conditons, she was not able to visit the hospital for treatment. When she was contacted by the field staff during the eye camp campaigning, she was so happy to get informed about the camp. She travelled 80 kms to attend eye camp. Doctor diagnosed her with matured cataract with immediate surgery. She was told that if she had waited for one month more she would have lost her eye sight due to mature cataract. The field staff helped her to reach hospital for the surgery, and she has regained her eye sight after surgery. She thanks the donors for helping her. 

We are very happy to share with you and request you to help us in our new endeavour under Seeing is Beliving Project. We have started Vision Centers and Satellite Eye Hospital in Bhuj to reach out unreached people. Our target is to conduct 5000 free catract surgieries in Satellite Eye Hospital, Bhuj. We request you to contribute small donation every month to support this new initative and existing initative. 

We also request you to visit our BPA Bareja Eye hospital whenever you are happended tobe in India. We will be very happy to host you and show our activities.
