During June 2012 to August 2012 a total number of 2547 patients had undergone surgery at Navalbhai and Hiraba eye hospital, A unit of Blind People Association, Bareja among which 2156 were undergone surgery for cataract the leading cause of blindness.
During the reporting period (During June 2012 to August 2012) 58 outreach programs were organized in remote locations of Gujarat where 2589 patients were provided treatment at their doorstep and among them 1311 patients were identified as cataract and 782 undergone surgeries at Bareja hospital.
