The project "Send 350 Girls to School in Ghana for a Year" is a laudable idea to support girls in urban slums who are deprived of their basic rights to education. Life is unbearable for these girls and their parents and there seems no hope for these girls.
The project since its inception on GlobalGiving has not received the kind of support to raise funds to meet its target of 350 girls. Only 85 girls were given educational opportunity with the amount raised so far.
The project is still hopeful to receive donations from good-wishers, friends, and anyone who is passionate to give quality life to deprived girls afar.
One unfortunate finding on this project is that if care is not taken, some of the girls that we sent to school through this project cannot be retained. If that happens, these girls will be more vulnerable.
We call upon all to support this project to sustain it and give quality life to many girls who are struggling in life to grow up to become responsible and productive citizens.
