Students of the first cycle (first 4 years) got their first report cards. Report cards of the secons cycle students (last 4 years) will come in February.

The first 2 years results are rather good with very few stduents under the average grade.

The 3rd year results however were lower than expected. This was surprinsing when we look at the results of this class last school year. We are looking at the reason(s) of this situation.

The 4th year students will pass the national exam (BEPC) at the end of this school year. Teachers have the tendency to be very hard in grading the students. Teachers beleive that xthis is a motivation for the students to work harder! We have been tryng to change this mentality since the creation of the LAP. Unfortunatly we have not yet convinced them that positive motivation is better than negative motivation.

The permanent staff is living on the LAP site. In order to help them, a refectory was built for them where they they can take their meals and watch television.

On the security side, the villages around the location of the LAP are calm. However we are preparing a security plan and increase our contacts wilth local authorities.

Thank you for your support.
