In September 2023 the new school year started at the Lycée Agricole Privé with 315 students (161 girls and 154 boys).
This school year we would like to train our teachers and staff to be more appreciative and use a more participative method.
We have realised that mainly in exam year, students are very stressed and this can decrease the effectiveness of their studies. The stress can come from the parents, the teachers or the parents.
We will try to use the appreciative inquiry principles to decrease part of this stress. The first step will be to train our personnel on this new approach. In Burkina fear is used instead of positive reinforcement.
We have been able to get funding for a moringa garden irrigated with a drip system. This will help to get more proteine in the meal of the students.
In order to better managed the "LAP production units" we have recruited a "business manager". He is in charge of the animal feeds production units, the compost production unit and of the moringa garden.
We would like to thank you all for your support which year after year help us meet the needs for a quality education at the LAP.
The students wish you an happy and healthy 2024.
