Send a poor child to an agricultural school

In October 2011, we opened the doors of the Lycée Agricole Privé (LAP) with an ambitious goal: to give underprivileged young people in rural Burkina Faso access to quality education and practical agricultural training.

Fifteen years later, we have much to celebrate.

Today, LAP is a boarding school welcoming more than 300 students, around 50% of whom are girls. Over the years, the school has developed into a strong and successful agricultural education program, preparing young people not only to obtain a diploma, but also to build a future for themselves and contribute to the development of their communities.

One achievement makes us particularly proud: for the past five years, 100% of our students taking the final BAC PRO Agricole examination have passed.

None of this would have been possible without the extraordinary commitment of our sponsors and supporters. Over the past 15 years, more than €1.2 million has been invested in the school's infrastructure and equipment, creating a safe and stimulating environment in which students can live, learn and develop practical skills.

Building a more sustainable future

Keeping LAP accessible to disadvantaged families remains a major challenge. Parents contribute approximately 15% of the actual cost of educating and accommodating a student, while the remaining 85% must be covered through sponsorship and other support.

To reduce this dependency over time, we began investing in income-generating activities in 2024. These activities are intended both to provide practical learning opportunities for our students and to generate income that can contribute to the school's operating costs.

Our ambition is clear: to continue providing high-quality agricultural education to young people who would otherwise have limited opportunities, while gradually making the school more financially sustainable.

Thank you for 15 years of support

Looking back at what has been achieved since 2011, we are extremely proud. But above all, we are grateful.

Every classroom, every piece of equipment, every student who graduates, and every young person who leaves LAP with new skills and new opportunities is part of what our supporters have helped make possible.
