Information about the students:
We finished the school with 225 students (102 girls and 123 boys).
7 students from the first 3 years will not make it to the next year. The results for the 4th year students at the national exam BEPC was not very good. Only 20 out of 65 students got it. This is only 31% success rate when our objective is 80%. We are still better than local public secondary schools which had 14 and 18% success rate.
We beleive that the main reason for this low success rate comes from the lack of leadership of the personnel in charge at the school.
Information about the personnel:
The lack of results at the school makes us look again at the quality of the teachers we have. We have recruited a new general manager who will start August 1st 2016. We are sure this will bring discipline and control at the school.
New infrastructure:
We have built in 2016 a nursing post, a refectory for the boys and a stable.
Activities of the students of the first 3 years in the month of june:
School year closed on July 2th. In june the students of the first 3 years were busy with activities in the fields (ploughing, seeding), computer lessons and animation activities (dances, theater, music).
New school year:
The new school year will start September 12th 2016. We expect to have 213 students.
We need your support to help those students coming from poor rural families to have access to a better and apppropriate education.
