LOVE like air spreads at CW filling every heart, every day, rain or shineCW School for Girls begins every March with 4 year old Quechua-speaking girls who never heard the word school before. They are paired with an upper grade CW girl to lovingly ease their passage into this new sometimes scary and unfamiliar CW world. The 6th grade girls who will graduate in December and move on to high school and later the University that awaits them are new role models for our wide-eyed little ones. Many possibilities will begin to creep into their awareness and open to them when they hear the older girls talk about their dreams for the future.
** FOR OUR UK SUPPORTERS **We have a plan to ship 40 signed books to the UK at a big shipping discount ($5.50 per book) from California. To proceed we need to have preorders paid to the CW UK friends organization (Director is Stuart) so that we won't ship too many books. Please contact Stuart in the UK** or **Rae < chicuchas_wasi@sonic.net >so we can proceed. This is a fundraiser and the only way to raise funds for CW is to buy books directly from the CW nonprofit – not from a bookseller who is focused on their own profit.THANK YOU for loyal support*************************I am always asked why did you create Chicuchas Wasi?
In your lifetime have you ever felt an occasional fleeting inner gentle and loving call to pay attention to something that might be important to you? Did you notice it didn't go away? Did you trust it and leap into the unknown? Or ignore it.
When I was 41 years old I felt a strong inner call to an unknown something I did not understand but could not ignore. I finally surrendered to this heart felt call, trusted and leapt into the unknown - scared - and my life changed forever. I fell in Love with a group of ragamuffins living on the streets of Cusco.
My just published book, "Jump on the Love Train" is about that experience and how CW came to be. I have 1000 books ready to mail to you. To order go to www.chicuchaswasi.org/book/ Muchas Gracias -Rae
