CW Girls were making international friends in May,
While the CW tourist group was exploring Inca ruins, I was at the school with administrator Ruth and her assistant Gloria making a new international connection with two schools via SKYPE for our 6th grade students to make friends with other students around the world. They now have friends at the Red Maid Girls School, Bristol, UK and the Rosemont School of the Holy Child , Rosemont, PA USA. The students at each school shared songs with our girls and they responded with one of their Quechua language songs. Since then we are sharing individual videos of CW girls where they share a little about themselves. I am sorry I cannot put videos in the report, but will put a few on FaceBook if you wish to see them. The students from the other schools are sending the same personal video interviews. Our internet connection is still spotty so to follow up the experience we will use videos also. The excitement of meeting other students living in a another land and culture from our girls has all of the studetns engaged and eager to know more about their new friends. The world of our girls is expanding with experiences like this one.
