Wells For Children

By Mrs. Paula Mwansa | Co-Founder

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Shalom! We hope you are all doing well and blessed. We are thankful for your continued love, and generosity toward WOW Tanzania. Because of your support, we are able to reach vulnerable children and families facing poverty and unsafe living conditions. Our goal is not simply to provide temporary assistance, but to help families find safety, regain their dignity, and build a more stable future.

We are delighted to share the progress of the Makenda children—Darius, Doreen, and little Gregory. Before receiving assistance, the family lived in a fragile steel-shed shelter and struggled with malnutrition and food insecurity. Through your kindness, we have helped provide a safer home, daily meals, weekly nutritional supplements, and school sponsorships for the children. Their well is now almost complete, bringing them closer to having a reliable water source at home. Our next goal is to install a water pump so the family can access water more easily and reduce the daily burden of collecting it.

Oliva and Tunu’s family has also experienced a remarkable change. Their former shelter was deteriorating and offered inadequate protection, leaving the family in difficult and insecure living conditions. With your help, we have renovated the structure into a more suitable home with walls, floors, windows, a roof, a kitchen, and a toilet. The family has also received furniture, and the children are benefiting from school sponsorships. We have now begun digging a well on their property. Previously, the family had to purchase and transport water over long distances for drinking, cooking, bathing, and cleaning. This new well will make everyday life easier, improve access to water, and help the household move toward greater self-sufficiency.

These families remind us that safe housing, nutritious food, education, and clean water are essential foundations for a brighter future. Your generosity is helping us protect vulnerable children, support families as they move beyond unsafe living conditions, and create opportunities for lasting change. Thank you for standing with WOW Tanzania and believing in this mission. Every contribution makes a difference, and we are deeply grateful to have you as partners in bringing hope, security, and renewed opportunities to the families we serve.

With love and gratitude,
WOW Tanzania Team
