Each year the Dutch association "join the pipe" is given us water bottles for our schools.
Each bottle is identified with the name of the child. It stays at the school for the whole school year then the pupils can take it home at the end of the school year.
Those drinking bottles help improve the hygiene at the school. Children are not drinking out of their hands (often dirty) or from a common cup.
Now some feedback from the parents on the nursery schools. You have to know that In Burkina children do not talk or ask questions to adults.
Father from the village of Fina: "my son came home one day from the nursery school and ask me how was my day? I was so surprised that I did not know how to react. Another day he wanted to know what will I do the next day. We are not use to this type of questions from small children. But it is nice."
Women from the village of Kofila: "my daughter was very introvert, staying in her corner and not looking happy. After a few months of schools she completly changed. She was happy and singing when she was at home".
It is motivating to keep on supporting those schools just for this type of feedback.
Thank you for your help in supporting them.
