ASAP supports 6 existing nursery schools in rural villages of Burkina Faso. This year there are 372 children (50% are girls) in those 6 nursery schools.
We have been able to find some funds to build a new nursery school in the village of Sipigui. This school will open end of September 2023.
Women are often the driving force of the economy of the families. The nursery school helps the mothers by receiving the 5 years children in the mornings during the week.
Obviously this is not the only advantage of a nursery school. The awakening of the 5 years children is also a very important impact which will help children to have better results when in primmary school.
The social skills that the small children will learned while in the secondary schools will also help the cohesion between them. They are coming from different ethical groups and it will help to have a better understandiung between those groups.
As you can see the funds needed to support the nursery schools is incresaing with the opening of this new school.
