We are supporting 6 rural nursery schools.
Last year the school in the village of Nefrelaye had to be closed due to insecurity. We are very happy that the situation has improved and the school has reopened beginning of October. Most of the villagers of this village are back home.
This year we expect to have 340 pupils in the 6 schools. It is the end of the rainy season and children of farmers who are moving to their field during this period will send them a bit late to the schools (primary or nursery).
Besides the '"awakening" of the children, another impact of the nursery schools is the improvement of hygiene in the families of the children. Mothers are telling us that the pupils correct them if they do not wash their hands with soap before preparing the food. The fact that they dare tell this to their mothers is also amazing.
Thank you for your support to those children of 5 years old.
