Each year we have to find the funding for the running costs of the nursery schools.
The parents participation to the costs is rather small, most of the funds needed are coming from donations.
It is important that we develop programs in the village which can generate funds which can be used for the running costs of the nursery costs. The costs of the lunch are 25% of the total costs. Our first objective is to find local ressources to meet the costs of the lunch.
Some of the schools have started to grow some vegetables in their yard. This is a start but it is not enough.
The schools are managed by a mothers association. We are going to motivate them and help them to work a field which can produce a crop such as soja or orange flesh sweet potatoes. The harvest can be or sold or consummed at the school.
