The 7 nursery schools we are supporting are located in rural villages. Until now, the government was not developping nursery school in rural areas. This is changing. A program to open nursery schools in remote area has been put in place. Training of future nusrsery school teachers has been organised.
This is a major change in the priorities given by the education ministry. By supporting early child education, they expect to improve the social skills, language skills, executive functions, emotional self-regulation, learning self-regulation.
This year the 7 nursrery schools we are supporting have recruited around 340 children of 5 years.
It is always a privilege to visit such schools. To see small children being able to develop in an friendly environement is very rewarding.
