Gardening in nursery school

Rural schools are encouraged to not only teach to read and count but also to learn gardening.

The vegetables produced in the garden are used by the school. But the main objective is to encourage the children to reproduce this type of work at home.

This is also the case in nursery school. The garden of Fina is a good example of such garden.

One of the main difficulties to grow vegetables is the access to water. Also there are a lot of stray animals cows, pigs, sheep, goats. They wander around the houses looking for food without any control. They destroy a lot and do not help hygiene.

It is a continuous battle to keep them away from the vegetables. As soon as they see some green areas they will force their way in the garden. The nursery school of Fina (video attached) has a high fence, but it is also needed to hide the garden with old mosquito nets.

Gardening is a very good idea but it will take a major change in the way the wandering animals are controlled.

Thank you for your support for this project.
