Continue with support
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our project to send girls to college and vocational training. We did not realize that this project is complicated as support after the earthquake dwindles. We are still managing to provide assistance by also asking local donors so that our students can continue with their schooling. The choice of school is government funded and thus tuition is cheaper. This reporting period we were able to provide support to 7 girls studying at a local state university in Leyte.
Again, thank you very much for your generosity.
With deep gratitude,
Cora

Goat as support for girls and their families
Dear Friends and Supporters,
Greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support in order to send girls to college. Our initial goat-raising project for families of the students was a resounding success and we decided to expand this. Goats provide ready cash for the families for the needs of girls on school as well as for general family needs and they are prolific and can easily multiply. There is always a high demand for goats and goat meat here is considered a delicacy. Source of goats that we buy and disperse for the beneficiaries comes from the market in Ormoc.
This reporting period we were able to disperse a total of 22 additional goats for 14 families, some families receiving 2 goats.
Hoping for your continuing support to this project.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora

Goat livelihood project
Dear Friends,
Greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our project to help typhoon affected students continue with their schooling in college. This reporting period, we continue to focus on providing the families with basic livelihood in order for them to support their school-children. The livelihood of choice include food vending, vegetable gardening, raising of small animals such as goats, chickens and pigs. Chickens and goats are some of their favorite choices because they just let them roam around the farm and they take care of themselves in terms of feeding. They are also inexpensive to raise and provide ready cash. They can be sold easily too.
This reporting period, we were able to provide a total of 12 goats to 12 families and 80 vegetable seed packets to 80 families.
Again thank you very much for your generous support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
