By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friends,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our project to send the children of Typhoon Haiyan survivors to college. This initiative is indeed breaking grounds here in Leyte as thousands of students fail to go to school after the typhoon due to massive loss of livelihoods of their parents. Until now recovery is very slow. The good thing is that there are government-run schools that charges reasonable tuition rates. To date we are able to send 31 students to school and their parents are very happy about it. The future of this students are very bright as jobs here for college graduates are numerous. We will continue supporting them every year until they will graduate.
Again thank you very much. Hoping that your colleagues and friends will also provide support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
