Dear Friends,
Greetings from Leyte. This time we are continuing our effort to send girls and boys to school. We are selecting the poorest families to be enrolled in school. When we started we were thinking of only sending girls but we found out that boys too badly need help. We selected schools run by the government because they are cheaper and quality of education is excellent. School requirements are also minimal and affordable. The parents share in other expenses such as uniform of the students and board and lodging. This reporting period we were able to pay for the tuition fees of 13 college students studying at the Visayas State University in Baybay, Leyte and taking-up courses in agriculture and education. The students came from our home-base in Albuera Municipality. We selected them because they have good family backgrounds and industrious.
Thank you so much for your kind help. Hoping that you will continue supporting us.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
