By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friends,
Greetings from Leyte. Few weeks back, we were visited by Ms. Eleanor Moodey, a Global Giving - UK representative in order to see progress of our work and how well we manage and implement various projects especially in disaster condition in the magnitude of Typhoon Haiyan. She visited sites were we are implementing safe sanitation, vegetable gardening, communal hand-wash in schools, giant rainwater collectors and home-building. Best of all, she was able to meet with a few of the girls whom we are supporting in order for them to go back to school. The discussion focused on how well the girls are doing in school, what are their accomplishements, problems and how well our project is supporting the girls. Supporting women and girls to college and technical education is indeed a great initiative and it provides the girls with a bright future.
Again, may I thank you for your kind support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
