Dear Friends and Supporters,
We hope this message finds you well. As always, we are incredibly grateful for your unwavering support of "Maisto Bankas." Your contributions have allowed us to continue our work and make a meaningful impact in reducing food waste and combating hunger across Lithuania.
As we enter the fall season, we have focused on partnering with local farmers to save surplus harvests. With your help, we’ve been able to collect thousands of kilograms of apples, root vegetables, and other fall crops that might otherwise go to waste. These nutritious foods are now helping families across the country who need them the most.
In addition, we are gearing up for our upcoming fall campaign, which aims to collect long-lasting food donations from individuals in shops. This initiative is crucial in ensuring that we can continue supporting those facing food insecurity.
We are excited about the difference we’re making together. Your ongoing support enables us to expand our reach and rescue even more food. In 2023, we saved 6,678 tons of food, and this year, with the harvest from our local partners and your help, we are hoping to break that record once again.
