Dear friends and supporters,
I’m grateful to share with you this report to update you on how is going this campaign to raise funds to invest 45 marginalized women in modern sewing.
So far, your generosity has raised over $3,142.4. This amount has kept the project running by providing additional 3 sewing machines, providing over 60 fabrics and other raw materials for sewing. Besides sewing basic materials, the raised funds has supported the project operations (see the attached spreadsheet).
Despite the great progress, the project has been facing multiple challenges. For instance, it took unbelievable time to acquire the sewing machines because the supplier took longer to get them here.
As previously report, with the acquisition of some additional input for the project, women started sewing for the market. For this, the organization has conducted market assessment to help women understand the required products. So far, four local markets have been identified as potential base for their business. Most of these markets are bi-weekly markets. This allows women to be able to attend them and still work in workshop.
