Sujawal is one of the poorest districts of Sindh with a high prevalence of persons with disabilities. With negligible job and educational opportunities, the majority of persons with disabilities remain in the vicious circle of poverty. NOWPDP aims to initiate its Skills Training Center at our Sujawal Campus with trades like Rickshaw Driving, Sewing, and Embroidery. For this center, we are urgently looking for donations to get 10 domestic and 10 industrial sewing machines.
With the support of our partners, we have initiated a Model Special School in Sujawal for quality education of children with disabilities but there is a large population of adults with disabilities, who need urgent upskilling, so they can be connected to relevant economic opportunities.
