To our donators,
It's tough to hear about how many people in South Africa are facing unemployment, especially after the difficult times of the pandemic. This means many women are struggling to find work, earn money, and support themselves and their families. Sadly, there's also a lot of inequality, which can make it even harder for women to get jobs or an education. This can create a cycle where women might feel like they have to rely on others for everything.
How it Works: Learning New Skills and Building Confidence!
You're providing training in skills like sewing, and soon you'll be teaching catering and computer skills too! These are all skills that can help women:
Find Jobs: Businesses always need people with sewing, cooking, and computer skills.
Start Their Own Businesses: Imagine the amazing things these women could create and sell!
Boost Their Confidence: Learning something new and becoming good at it feels great!
Write Strong CVs: You're even helping them create CVs, which is super important for applying for jobs.
Making it Sustainable: Helping Others Learn Too!
The way your project is set up is really smart! After the women learn their new skills, they'll volunteer to teach the next group. This means the project can keep going and helping even more women in the future. That's what we call sustainable – it keeps helping over the long term!
Thank you!
