This project will teach 200 rural women how to prevent unplanned pregnancies through basic sex education, using group talks, visual tools, and simple local-language materials. In many villages, women give birth to 6 or more children, often without enough food or care. Most do not understand their body or how pregnancy happens. We will hold safe women-only sessions, led by trained female health workers, to share facts about safe sex, birth spacing, and protection.
In many rural areas, women give birth to many children they cannot care for. Most do not know how pregnancy happens or how to space births. Many husbands refuse to use condoms, and women have no one to ask about sex or protection. Local clinics are far away, and myths about family planning are common. Girls marry young, and women are often blamed when they get pregnant too often.
We will hold small, safe group talks for women in their own villages, using local languages and simple visual tools. Trained female health workers will explain how the body works, how to prevent pregnancy, and how to protect against disease. Women will receive free condoms and be shown how to use them. We will also train local peer guides so that women can keep learning even after the sessions end.
Women will understand how to space their births and avoid unwanted pregnancies. They will have fewer health risks, and more time to care for their children. Some women will share what they learn with others, creating a chain of learning. Local peer guides will keep teaching in their villages. This will help reduce large family sizes and improve the health and safety of women and children.
