The Covid 19 pandemic continues to cause uncertainties to Uganda's vulnerable and impoverished children. Over 2000 households need something to eat on a daily basis and this is why Chance to survive is raising funds to secure food for 500 vulnerable and impoverished children.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, institutions in Uganda closed.Children who depend on institutions including Chance to Survive Children Foundation for their daily nutrition in Uganda no longer have access to food. This has increased the number of street children, malnourished children and domestic violence in these very poor families because they are always arguing on what to eat on a daily basis during this period of COVID 19.
Chance to survive children foundation will distribute food to the starving children and also some of the funds will be used to buy seeds such that the families can be able to plant for the next season.
Chance to survive children foundation will feed 500 vulnerable and impoverished children which will reduce on the rate of street children, reduce on number of malnourished children who will grow to help their communities later. The project is going to reduce on food insecurities because the target population will be able to grow their own food. Providing food is going to reduce on domestic violence in families there by helping the vulnerable children grow in more loving families.
