I dearly want to thankyou on behalf of the communities we support and the entire colleauges of staff at the bottom of our hearts for your support and love in walking with us a big milestone in 2023.

Thank you for sharing the Good News over last year on Christmas

Matthew 1:23 reminds us that God is with us! It’s both a statement and a promise. No matter who you are, where you come from, or what you’re going through, you’re not alone. It’s a message of hope that we invite you to share with your children this Christmas by writing a short Christmas greeting.

We also invite you to donate to our Christmas Appeal, enabling more than 2.3 million children globally to hear the truth that “God is with us”. They’ll attend a Christmas celebration hosted by their local church. The gifts and food they’ll receive thanks to your generosity will also be a practical demonstration of God’s love. Our project staff will hand choose gifts that children really need, whether clothes, shoes, toys or timely food parcels.

So many children we treasure the kind words from their supports during this time. Your encouragement on christmas brought great joy to our supported children.

Thank you for your generosity, Charitable Incorporated Community Organization Uganda hosted a christmas party for children, their families, wider communities, sharing the Good News that "Immanuel" God is with us". You played a role by giving over 200 children the real gifts they wanted, whether clothes, shoes, toys or timely food parcels.

Helping Children Experience God's Love Thru Gifts

There’s nothing quite like Christmas to bring out the kid in everyone. Holiday cards, gift giving and receiving, stuffed animals and other toys, hoping for that perfect gift from someone special — the Christmas season is a special time of year.

But for millions of children all over the world who face hunger, lack of clean water, homelessness and poverty on a daily basis, the holiday season isn't something to celebrate, especially for children suffering the economic, physical and emotional impacts of the global food crisis.

They don’t put up Christmas trees or decorations, sing carols, stay up late listening for sleigh bells, or wake up early to unwrap new Christmas presents of toys or gift cards. Feeling unloved and forgotten, these children may never know the true hope and joy that Christmas promises.

We believe that every child deserves to receive Christmas gifts. Thanks to donations from people like you to the Christmas Gift Fund, we make sure that every child in our program feels special on Christmas Day. Your generosity to give back and bless others from the abundance the Lord has given you helps to make Christmas feel special to children living in poverty.

So How Does it Work?

Imagine the joy on a child’s face when he or she receives Christmas gift for the first time ever and realizes that God really sees and cares about him or her! Because in the midst of the backpacks, toys and shoes, the truth of Jesus’ love resonates in a special way at Christmastime — not only for the recipients, but for their loved ones as well. The blessing has a ripple effect that extends into the community as the child’s family shares what God has done for them.

When you make a donation to the Christmas Gift Fund, your charitable gift is combined with gifts from other donors to purchase gifts of equal value for every Compassion-assisted child. That way, no child is left out. Staff members at each child development center, who know the children personally, make the purchases, so every registered child receives Christmas gifts that are appropriate, personally meaningful and useful.

Gifts also help provide for essential needs, and may include these items, as well as toys:

Food
Medicine
Hygiene supplies
School supplies
Clothing
Shoes
