Once again, Sisterhood Agenda has been given the opportunity to provide activities in St. John to celebrate National Women’s Health Week in May 2013.
Hypertension, diabetes, obesity/overweight, and heart disease are prevalent on the island and there are no gyms or fitness facilities. While promoting natural health with health walks, hikes, and other fitness activities, wellness
packages will be distributed and activities will be coordinated with local agencies who will participate.
As part of the SHE celebration, Sisterhood Agenda will honor the following Global Partner leaders in the health field:
-Belinda Harden, Founder and President of Mary McLeod Bethune Humanitarian Network
-Maimah Karmo, Founder of Tigerlily Foundation
-Dr. Margaret Kilibwa, Founder Tropical Clinics
-Dr. E. Faye Williams, Esq., National Chair of the National Congress of Black Women
Sisterhood Agenda would also like to make the Sisters: Healthy & Empowered (SHE) Activity Guide available to other agencies and individuals by publishing it on Amazon with its other educational materials. Stay tuned for details!
