Sisterhood Agenda is excited to announce its NEW Social Media Preoccupation Virtual Support Group for Teenage Girls as a part of our SHE: Sisters, Healthy and Empowered girl power programs.
Social media usage by young girls is increasing every day and the age of social media users is getting younger and younger. In media, there is a lot of pressure to look, feel, and act a certain way and girls constantly scroll social media and compare themselves to what they see.
Teenage girls form a large percentage of social media users, and they use it to keep up with their social circle and maintain their online appearance.
They take inspiration from the so-called social media influencers. These influencers glam up their lives on social media, and what we see is a highly selective and filtered view of their life.
Mental health experts are concerned and so are we.
While social media has a lot of negative aspects, it may have some value if used correctly. However, with algorithms and tech tricks, girls are engaged. Once hooked, it’s difficult to get unhooked.
Sisterhood Agenda is concerned about the addictive nature of social media, especially for our girls. How often do you need to check on updates? Do they require instant notifications?
Each social media site has its agenda.
Sisterhood Agenda’s Social Media Preoccupation Virtual Support Group for Teenage Girls is designed to help you and the girls you care about get a grip on social media use and live a healthy life.
Do you know someone preoccupied or even addicted to social media? Are you trying hard to stop endless online checking and scrolling, but find it challenging to stop?
Social media preoccupation can be difficult to resolve, especially for teen girls. Sisterhood Agenda’s support group registration is free.
We meet online every week for one hour. Parent/guardian registration is required.
Get ready to meet and greet with others who know exactly what you’re going through. Get valuable tools to regain control by not allowing social media to take over your life and your feelings.
You deserve a full life full of love and positivity.
Join the sisterhood and let's empower each other together!
