At Sisterhood Agenda, Inc., we believe that safe, affordable housing is the foundation for healthy, empowered communities. Through our Sisters Healthy & Empowered (SHE) initiative, we continue to bring this vision to life, most recently through a powerful Community Giveaway in Baltimore County for women and families.
On April 18, 2026, we welcomed residents from mobile home communities across the county to a day centered on connection, support, and opportunity. Hosted at the Williams Estates | Peppermint Woods Community Center and sponsored by H & H Sports Apparel, this free event created a space where women, families, and neighbors could come together and feel seen, supported, and valued.
What We Did, Together
Thanks to your support, we were able to distribute essential items including clothing, laptops, iPhones, and household goods, resources that directly support daily stability and access to opportunity.
For many participants, these items are more than material support; they are tools for education, employment, and staying connected. Many of those who received iPhones did not have a cell phone. Many of those who received laptop computers did not have a computer at home.
Why It Matters
As the cost of living continues to rise, families in many of our communities are facing increasing challenges to maintain stable, affordable housing.
Through SHE, we address these realities holistically, recognizing that housing, health, and economic empowerment are deeply interconnected.
This event was not just a giveaway for us. It was a moment of listening and learning.
Residents shared their experiences, concerns, and hopes for the future. Local leaders and stakeholders were invited to engage directly with the community, helping to elevate voices that are too often unheard in both wellness and housing conversations. Sisterhood Agenda, Inc. is bridging the two.
A Community-Centered Approach
In partnership with local businesses and organizations in Baltimore County and beyond, Sisterhood Agenda, Inc. is building a model rooted in connection where community members support one another and work collectively toward solutions.
As Sisterhood Agenda, Inc. Founder and President, Angela D. Coleman, shared:
“We want every woman and family to know that they are not alone. Through SHE, we are creating pathways to stability, health, and empowerment. We start where people are, meeting immediate needs, and continuing through long-term housing solutions.”
What’s Next
This event is one step in our broader vision of Holistic Housing—an approach that integrates affordable housing development with wellness, sustainability, and community empowerment. We are continuing to expand this work, ensuring that more women and families have access to safe, stable homes and the resources they need to thrive.
Thank You
Your support makes this work possible. Because of you, we are not only meeting immediate needs, we are building stronger, healthier communities for the future.
With gratitude,
Sisterhood Agenda, Inc.
