ACE Survey Collection Going Strong

By Angela D. Coleman | Founder & President

To date, Sisterhood Agenda has collected over 10,000 ACE survey results. This is an outstanding amount of data that will inform our knowledge about ACES, women and girls. This knowledge will, in turn, inform our programs and new initiatives, particularly our SHE:  Sisters, Healthy & Empowered project.

ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) are traumatic experiences (for example, sexual abuse and domestic violence) that one has experienced before adulthood.  ACEs have a profound impact on self-development and womanhood.  When compared to boys, girls disproportionately experience multiple ACEs-they have more ACEs, more often and at earlier ages.

Sisterhood Agenda published many articles on sisterhoodagnda.com and also published a video on how to get your ACE score and what it means. The articles and video about ACEs are Sisterhood Agenda’s most viewed, demonstrating a keen interest in self-knowledge and self-awareness when it comes to childhood trauma.

Perhaps more importantly than the data collection itself, Sisterhood Agenda also published the book, Life After ACEs: Overcoming Girlhood Trauma as a solution for high ACE scores.

As impactful as ACEs can be, ACEs are not destiny.

Sisterhood Agenda’s trauma-informed programs, training, and consulting, along with its most recent publication, Life After ACEs, shows readers how to focus on overcoming their traumatic past to live a life that is full of present positivity, meaningful connections, love, and purpose.

We are still collecting ACE surveys. You can take the survey on Sisterhood Agenda’s site where we explore how ACEs may be putting you at risk: https://sisterhoodagenda.com/are-aces-putting-you-at-risk/.

Thank you for supporting this worthwhile cause.  We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing our mission to educate, support, and empower women and girls around the globe.

In the Spirit of Sisterhood,
Angela D. Coleman
Founder & President
