Skill Trainings for Young Women in Pakistan

Urgently Skill training needed for rural women at Flood Affected Areas of Pakistan

AHD working to help Flood Affected Families since floods started in July 16^th 2022 and so far reached 2,650 families with food, health and safe drinking water, however the women usually ignored or left out due to high rate poverty and work in rural villages, women usually get up early 5 am and do work for breakfast making and then work with men in fields crop harvest to sowing, especially women of  rice track area and women and children facing deep ignorance I all sectors of health, education and wealth.

AHD working to bring skills at local level to empower local women with skills and trainings, AHD ongoing training skills with women over 1. Safe Drinking Water Nadi filter, 2. Fuel Efficient Cooking Stove 3. Kitchen gardening and 4. Sewing skills. About 450 women skill training successfully completed over past 3 three years and for flood affected families, AHD looking more support of you all  

AHD women staff team visited different flood affected areas near Hyderabad during the months of November 2022 and finalized 02 areas most poverty stickmen and needs urgent support for their women and young girls to learn the sewing and skill techniques to help their family to generate income at their household level

The main activities in women sewing and skill center are:

• Trainings for staff capacity building.
• Cutting, sewing and sizing.
• Making decoration pieces.
• Stitching clothes.
• Knitting, sewing, embroidery.

Initial visits conducted, mobilization meetings and workshop organized & women CBO organized in the both areas to start the sewing center for the young adult women and girls, in this regard total 42 young women / girls targeted through this GlobalGiving project for the promotion of swing skills for the income generation at their household level.

 The new started sewing centers project will need support from all of you to arrange sewing machines and cloths, teacher fees and center rent etc. hope to hear from all of you for this project.
