Skilled women earning through sewing skills during COVID-19 Shutdown

AHD helping COVID-19 affected people and sharing awareness and help to poor women with food packages, during the visits AHD staff come to know that many women using their sewing skills and making money for their family and food earning. This is what we were looking to help poor women and now we can see the impact and hundreds of women skills via sewing skills earning at village level and enjoying good life safe and secure at household level.

I think we needs to help more women and make them skilled that they can utilize the sewing skills and help themselves and their children and family.

93 Young Women equipped with skills now earning at their household

Young women learn sewing and cutting skills & now earning handsome at their household level, about 93 young women in earning position as the project supported by GlobalGiving, About 93 young women got skills and now earning through their own sewing machines with sewing and cutting skills. In the next quarter we are planning to open 2 new centers to target some 40 young women in slum dweller areas of Mirpurkhas. The purpose of the start of new 2 sewing centers is to help poor families and their women to learn sewing skills and support their family to save money and earn income through sewing skills.

Thanks to the donors supported in the last quarter and we expect same for the next quarter with double target achievement within next 3 months time period.
