A survey conducted in suakoko, Bong county -Liberia by our organization in June 2018 where we interviewed young people between 15-35 years of age about their poor living conditions and unemployment status revealed that 75% of them don't have a formal skill or career leading them been denied of employment, . This has increased vulnerability and gender inequality. W have design this project to train 300 youth in the area of Computer training, tailoring,, Soap making, and carpentry.
Our youth have very limited opportunities to gain useful skills which would enable them to have access to the labor market and provide for themselves. Despite the fact that, their engagement into a lots of activities(s) like drugs, prostitution, gambling, robbery and etc. Due to the lack of formal skill and education. Hence it will be advantageous to establish a program that will be able to reach out, remold and rehabilitates them into society. Therefore the need for action to control the above.
Encourage and inspire more young men and women in the following skill training computer education, tailoring and sewing, soap making, and carpentry. Increase young men and women literacy rate in Liberia. Reduce young people unemployment rate.
As these once are trained, they will be able to train other in likewise feed and also give employment, as it will be a continous process in the community
