The kroobay slum community in sierra Leone is one the communities which has high rate of youths involved in drugs,girls involved in prostitution at a very early age and high rate of click gangs. The project will provide skilled training which will enable these youths to be self employed and be contributors to the kroobay community ,by employing their fellow youths who have been in the same situation and condition of living . The project which help to reduce the level of violence .
The kroobay community is a slum community, as all other slum communities within Freetown is been face with series of challenges like youths been involved in click gangs ,young girls involved in prostitution to find ways to cater for themselves and their families ,high rate school drop out ,high rate teenage pregnancy,poor sanitation. what climax this all is the high rate for unemployment of youths with in the kroobay community ,which leads to high rate of violence within the community.
The project will provide self employment for thirty unemployed youths within the kroobay community.It will reduce the rate of prostitution among girls within the community ,help to tackle the issue of violence and click gangs within the community because the thirty youths who will benefit from the skill training will we encourage to employed their fellow youths who are facing the problems as their were .The project will help women to cater meaningfully for their family in respectable way.
The project will empower 30 youths to be self employed which aid them to fight the issues of prostitution,click gangs and poverty ,it will help them to be contributors to their community and their families also agents of change by employing their fellow youths within the kroobay community . The women or girls will have capacity the to provide for their families in a respective manner and live a meaningful life .
