Thanks to You, More Young People Are Building Brighter Futures

Thanks to your continued support, this reporting period marked an important milestone for our Youth Empowerment Project at the Thrive Center in Douala, Cameroon. We celebrated the successful completion of our latest training cycle, where 170 young people strengthened their digital, leadership, and career-ready skills through free, hands-on learning. Outstanding students received certificates, backpacks, and school supply vouchers. By removing financial barriers, your generosity is helping young people gain opportunities that many families could not otherwise afford.

A Story of Growth

One graduate, Sarah (name changed), joined the program unsure of her ability to succeed in technology. Through months of hands-on learning, mentorship, and teamwork, she developed new technical skills and greater self-confidence. At the closing ceremony, she shared, “Before joining the program, I was afraid of technology because I thought it was too difficult. Now I can build projects, work with data, and speak confidently about my future.” Sarah’s experience reflects what your support makes possible: helping young people believe in themselves while preparing for brighter futures.

Looking Ahead

Building on this momentum, we recently welcomed 165 new students to our Summer Program, where they have already begun developing practical skills in technology, communication, leadership, and problem-solving.

We are deeply grateful to our GlobalGiving donors, volunteers, instructors, mentors, partner schools, and families whose support makes this work possible. Together, you are expanding access to education and empowering young people with the confidence and skills they need to shape their futures. We look forward to sharing the achievements of this new group of learners in our next update.
