This project will empower 100 domestic violence victims who are not working to acquire entrepreneurial skills in sewing, hairdressing, catering etc and also provide them with micro-grant for them to start their own business . This will help them become financially independent which will prevent domestic or sexual abuse at home.
There are currently a number of women who have been abused in Ghana. The foundation has realized that most men who are solely responsible for the financial wellbeing of the family become agitated and abuse their partners. Violence has long-term, far-reaching effects, including persistent inequalities between men and women, which limit women and girls' abilities to fulfill their potential. Empowering these women will not only help them to make their own decisions but also prevent violence at home
1. The training would provide them with entrepreneurial skills which will benefit them throughout their lives 2. The training will increase their income 3. They will be able to cater for the welfare of their family 4. They will also employ other women in their various businesses. 5. Along with the vocational and technical skills, the trainees will gain the necessary soft and life skills to enrich their learning and to improve their career prospects.
The trainining will help 100 abused victims from underprivileged populations improve their economic welfare and break out of the poverty cycle by establishing and developing their own small businesses, thereby achieving economic independence and stability
