The Girl Child Foundation Uganda is working to empower 300 young mothers with practical vocational and entrepreneurship skills that can help them rebuild their lives, support their children, and create sustainable sources of income.
Many young mothers in rural communities face poverty, limited education, unemployment, and few opportunities to develop income-generating skills.
The planned training will include shoe making, tailoring and sewing, hairdressing and beauty, baking and catering, soap and liquid detergent making, crafts and beadwork, agriculture, poultry keeping, and small-business management.
Participants will also learn basic financial literacy, savings, marketing, and entrepreneurship to help them turn their skills into sustainable businesses.
GIFU is seeking donor support to make this training possible.
Your support can give a young mother more than a skill—it can give her hope, confidence, dignity, and an opportunity to build a better future for her children.
Together, we can empower 300 young mothers to become self-reliant and create lasting change in their communities.
