Thanks to the continued support of generous donors, the Skills Training for 300 Teenage Mothers project is making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable young women across rural Uganda. The project addresses the economic and social challenges faced by teenage mothers by providing practical vocational training and personal development opportunities.
Throughout this reporting period, participants attended vocational classes that combine technical instruction with practical experience. The training focuses on equipping young mothers with marketable skills that can lead to self-employment and improved household incomes. Alongside vocational education, beneficiaries participated in mentorship and life-skills sessions that promote confidence, leadership, and financial responsibility.
Many participants have shared stories of personal transformation. Young mothers who once felt isolated are now actively engaged in learning and planning for their futures. The supportive training environment has encouraged teamwork, resilience, and a sense of belonging among beneficiaries.
The project has also strengthened community awareness regarding the importance of supporting teenage mothers. Local stakeholders continue to play an important role in encouraging participation and helping create a more inclusive environment for young women seeking opportunities to rebuild their lives.
Looking ahead, the project team remains committed to expanding opportunities for participants through business support, starter kits, and ongoing mentorship. These efforts will help ensure that graduates can successfully apply their new skills to generate sustainable income.
We sincerely thank our donors for standing with these young mothers. Your support is helping transform challenges into opportunities and creating lasting change for families and communities.
