The Skills Training for 300 Teenage Mothers project is making significant progress toward empowering vulnerable young women with practical skills and economic opportunities. Through this initiative, teenage mothers are gaining the tools they need to overcome barriers, support their families, and build independent futures.
Throughout this reporting period, participants attended vocational training sessions that emphasized practical learning and entrepreneurship. Courses in tailoring, hairdressing, baking, and handicrafts have provided beneficiaries with marketable skills that can generate sustainable income. Financial literacy and savings education have further strengthened participants' ability to manage resources effectively.
An important aspect of the project is mentorship. Through regular mentorship sessions, beneficiaries receive guidance, encouragement, and support as they work toward personal and professional goals. These interactions have helped improve self-esteem and foster a positive outlook among participants.
The project has also continued to engage community stakeholders in promoting acceptance and support for teenage mothers. This community involvement is helping create an environment where young women can pursue opportunities without fear of discrimination or exclusion.
Several participants have already begun developing plans for small businesses they hope to launch after graduation. Their determination reflects the project's growing impact and the potential for lasting economic transformation.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our donors and supporters. Your commitment is helping young mothers gain skills, restore confidence, and create better futures for themselves and their children.
