The Skills Training for 300 Teenage Mothers project continues to open doors of opportunity for young women who face significant social and economic challenges. By providing vocational education and personal development support, the project is helping participants build brighter futures for themselves and their children.
This reporting period focused on strengthening vocational skills through practical instruction and hands-on learning experiences. Participants actively engaged in training activities covering tailoring, baking, hairdressing, and entrepreneurship. These programs are designed to equip beneficiaries with skills that align with local market opportunities.
The project also delivered life-skills education that promotes financial responsibility, goal setting, and self-confidence. These lessons are helping participants make informed decisions while preparing them to manage future business ventures successfully.
Feedback from beneficiaries indicates growing confidence and optimism. Many participants have reported increased motivation and a stronger belief in their ability to become financially independent. The supportive training environment has encouraged collaboration, learning, and personal growth.
Community leaders continue to support the project by encouraging participation and advocating for the inclusion of teenage mothers in local development initiatives. Their involvement has strengthened community ownership and contributed to the project's success.
As we prepare for the next phase of implementation, efforts will focus on mentorship, business planning, and access to starter resources. We are thankful to all donors whose support is helping transform lives and create sustainable opportunities for vulnerable young mothers across Uganda.
