Teenage mothers often face overwhelming challenges that limit their ability to complete education and secure employment. Through the Skills Training for 300 Teenage Mothers project, these young women are gaining practical skills, confidence, and opportunities to transform their lives.
Over the reporting period, beneficiaries participated in vocational training designed to provide pathways toward self-reliance. Training areas included tailoring, hairdressing, baking, and small business development. Participants are learning valuable techniques while gaining experience that will help them establish income-generating activities.
The project also prioritizes personal development through mentorship and life-skills education. Sessions focused on financial literacy, leadership, communication, and problem-solving have strengthened participants' capacity to navigate challenges and pursue future goals.
Many beneficiaries have shown remarkable dedication and enthusiasm throughout the training process. Their commitment demonstrates the importance of investing in opportunities that empower vulnerable young women to become active contributors within their communities.
Community support has remained strong, with local stakeholders encouraging participation and helping address barriers that teenage mothers frequently encounter. This collaborative approach is creating a more inclusive environment where young women can thrive.
In the coming months, the project will continue strengthening vocational instruction and preparing participants for successful graduation. We deeply appreciate our donors whose generous support makes this work possible. Together, we are helping teenage mothers develop skills, achieve independence, and create brighter futures for their families.
