This quarter, the Skills Training for 300 Teenage Mothers project continued its mission of empowering young mothers with practical skills and renewed hope. The project recognizes that teenage motherhood often limits educational and economic opportunities, leaving many young women vulnerable to poverty and dependency.
Participants remained actively engaged in vocational training programs that focus on income-generating skills such as tailoring, hairdressing, baking, and craft production. These programs are complemented by entrepreneurship and financial literacy sessions designed to prepare beneficiaries for sustainable self-employment.
Beyond vocational instruction, the project provides mentorship and psychosocial support to address challenges faced by teenage mothers. These sessions have helped participants develop self-confidence, leadership abilities, and a stronger sense of purpose. Many beneficiaries have expressed excitement about applying their newly acquired skills to improve their household incomes and support their children's education.
The project has also strengthened relationships with local communities, creating greater awareness about the importance of supporting young mothers. Positive community engagement has encouraged participation and reduced barriers that often prevent teenage mothers from pursuing opportunities for personal and economic growth.
Looking ahead, the project team is focused on supporting participants as they complete their training and begin implementing income-generating initiatives. With continued donor support, we can expand opportunities and ensure long-term success for beneficiaries.
We sincerely thank all supporters whose contributions are helping transform lives and create pathways toward independence and self-reliance.
