Restoring Learning and Opportunity for Every Child

By Julia Matthew | Managing Director

Dear Friend,

El Shaddai extends our gratitude to all supporters and partners for your continued commitment and support of our mission to serve children and families. Your generous donations have not only impacted our children from slums and the streets but have consistently been the driving force in enhancing the lives of outreach workers who have dedicated their time and effort to our children.

We are so grateful for everything you have done for our children. For many children from vulnerable communities, especially girls, attending school regularly is not a given; it is a daily struggle. Poverty, migration, child labour, family instability, trauma, and learning gaps often force children to miss school, not because they lack ability, but because they lack support. Over time, irregular attendance leads to poor academic performance and, eventually, school dropouts. This project is a focused initiative aimed at restoring learning continuity and improving school attendance among at-risk children. Through community-based learning centres, the project addresses the root causes of absenteeism and creates a supportive, engaging environment where children can reconnect with education.

At El Shaddai, an outreach worker has taken on the remarkable task of providing education to over 700 children, a number that is hard to fathom given the challenging circumstances. However, we remain confident that they will achieve this, fueled by their mission and your steady support. El Shaddai organised a series of community-based and child-focused activities aimed at enhancing the quality of life and promoting positive values. These activities included creative learning sessions. Children participated in structured learning, sports, art therapy, and group activities, leading to reduced screen time, improved academic and social skills, and better emotional regulation.

By donating to our cause, you are keeping children learning. Together, we can keep hundreds in school by transforming poor attendance into regular learning, renewed hope, and real opportunity. Because every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and dream.

With Gratitude

El Shaddai Family!
