This project helps to strengthen and restore dignity to a group of 120 women leaders who are victims of the armed conflict, who as displaced have precarious living conditions, the incomes will be supported with the creation of a sustainable community business through transformation of discarded tires into handicrafts and furniture for domestic use. The armed conflict in Colombia has directly affected 8,376,463 people, 120 displaced women leaders from different areas of the country took refuge in Calima Darien, who have suffered different types of harassment, such as rape, the murder of their husbands and families, leaving psychosocial trauma in their families and theirselves, increasing intrafamily violence, besides with this is the fact that they have lost their jobs and the material assets they owned.
The project is designed to contribute two aspects that are affecting this group of displaced women, the emotional and economic situation. In the emotional aspect, each one of the 120 women and their families will be accompanied with psychosocial therapies addressing issues such as mental health, resilience, socio-economic consolidation, and stabilization; Through tailor-made training, the project of family and collective life will be built, addressing the different dimensions of human well-being
The project helps to generate new life possibilities for 120 women and their families in a new geographical context, we began with psychosocial support that allows reducing the classic tensions and depressions of displacement and that generate intra-family violence, which is accompanied by the construction of the life project which is done from the different dimensions of well-being. A process of labor reintegration is generated through a community company from the Solidarity Economy
