This month, The Hope Exchange ended another #Feed5000 initiative. For 32 days without a break, we prepared and served a nutritious lunch to people in need. We served 14,800 meals - the highest number in the eight years since the inception of this initiative.
We are writing to express our deepest gratitude to those who supported #Feed5000 and The Hope Exchange. The collective efforts of donors and the tireless work of volunteers have truly made a difference. The impact of your support goes beyond the immediate relief of hunger; it fosters a sense of connection and hope that can lead to lasting change. Also, a heartfelt thank you goes to Ladles of Love for being a vital partner with #Feed5000.
The Hope Exchange also wishes to express gratitude to the many of you who show commitment towards our cause and mission throughout the year. In addition to the success of #Feed5000, we are thrilled to share the news about one of our recent ventures. In 2023, we introduced barista training for our clients, providing them with valuable skills and opportunities for personal and professional growth. The positive response has been overwhelming, and we would like to continue and expand this program in 2024. Our vision includes establishing a coffee shop as a social enterprise on our premises. This initiative aims to be a contributing source of income for The Hope Exchange towards our social care programs while providing our clients with meaningful employment and a chance to showcase their skills. Your continued support will play a crucial role in turning this vision into reality, further empowering those we serve.
We would also like to highlight the art therapy program that we did for the very first time - from August to December 2023. The positive feedback from the participants has been overwhelming and it has been amazing to watch them grow and make positive life changes within the program period. We wish to continue this in 2024.
We wish you all a wonderful new year. Remember, you are welcome to contact us anytime with questions and comments - or if you would like to visit The Hope Exchange.
Should you still wish to contribute to the #Feed5000 food bill, it is not too late.
