Social Enterprise Development for Communities

The Lasallian Social Enterprise for Economic Development (LSEED) Center has successfully celebrated its 7th anniversary last March 2023. The month-long celebration was held with a series of events and activities highlighting the stories of impact of Lasallian social entrepreneurship with LSEED Center.

The new partnership with the British Council Philippines was publicly announced through a signing of a Memorandum of Understanding last March 1, 2023. Both parties have agreed to explore cooperation in areas of capacity building of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) localization. This was followed by the launch of the anniversary webisode through LSEED Talks as well as the release of the new subpage and the primer of the Center. Last March 24, 2023, LSEED Center was also formalized as a member of the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia and was elected as a member of its board of trustees and regional council. A social enterprise marketplace was also launched at the Bloemen Hall of De La Salle University, showcasing Lasallian social enterprises. To cap off the celebration, LSEED's anniversary dinner and partners' gathering was held last March 28, 2023. 

The Center has also formally announced the creation of a social enterprise marketplace (microsite) via Lazada. The said platform will showcase Lasallian social enterprises with its products and services. The effort aims to expand the market base of SE as part of the LSEED's commitment to support the growth of the SE sector in the country.
