This project will create a Social Space to provide educational opportunities such as the English Language, Arts and Crafts, and use non-formal education to improve the skills of children. The space is open to all children, especially the ones who come from vulnerable families. The project will supply stationary, cover rent and utilities for the implementation of the project.
According to National Statistics Office of Georgia, in 2019 the population under absolute poverty line is 19,5% of total number of population. Consequently, socially vulnerable families live in the most difficult conditions and they do not have the financial and emotional capacity to think about a better future for their children. Studies show that poverty has a negative impact on a child's development. We decided to create a space for vulnerable children to develop their skills and socialise.
Social.Eyes Social Space will provide children with didactic and outdoor activities, arts and crafts, languages and use non-formal education to develop children's skills and personal growth. The teachers will be trained professionals accompanied with volunteers from RICDOG.
The project will facilitate the socialisation of children, arouse their interest in striving for a better future in life and try to escape from the social poverty in which they have lived for years.
This project has provided additional documentation in a DOCX file (projdoc.docx).
